Som man kan se på denne video/film med billeder fra Costa Rica, er dette mellemamerikanske land det nærmeste, man kommer på et grønt og frodigt paradis på jorden. Costa Rica er spansk for “rig kyst”, og et besøg i landet afslører hurtigt, at landet virkelig er et rigt og overdådigt land – især hvad angår naturen. Costa Rica et fredfyldt land med en helt fabelagtig natur og et spændende, varieret dyreliv.
En stor del af Costa Rica er dækket af grøn, frodig regnskov, men det lange, smalle land byder også på skønne, hvide sandstrande langs de to kyststrækninger ved det Caribiske Hav mod øst og Stillehavet mod vest. Når man rejser fra højlandet midt i landet mod en af kysterne, vil man opleve vejret og temperaturen skifte med det højst varierede landskab.
Albatros Travel har tilrettelagt en rejse rundt i “det grønne paradis”, en naturrundrejse, hvor deltagerne vil opleve tropiske regnskove og farverigt dyreliv på nærmeste hold. Rejsen går gennem forskellige typer jungle, man kan vandre på kanten af vulkaner og naturligvis nyde livet på de mange strande.
Vi begynder i den hyggelige hovedstad San José med dens mange forskellige former for arkitektur og markeder med kunsthåndværk og meget andet. Vi vandrer på vulkanerne Iruzu og Arenal, der begge kan finde på at slynge lava og søjler af ild op i luften. I nationalparkerne Braulio Carrillo, Tortugero, Palo Verde og Rincon de la Vieja møder vi skildpadder, krokodiller, tukaner og dovendyr og kommer ind på livet af forskellige former for regnskov, sumpskov og varme kilder skabt af vulkaner. Rejsen ter i byen Tamarindo, der er omgivet af indbydende badestrande.
